There is so much wisdom in these mountains. They are, after all, some of the oldest mountains in the world. You have to think that they have just about seen it all and yet, are still here and are still beautiful. These mountains remind me that we too will endure and that nature and time spent in nature is healing, restorative, and life affirming.
“I feel like I will spend my lifetime trying to capture the feeling I have when I look out on the waves of hills and breathe it in. It is a sort of transcendence, a stoppage of time, a sense of being a part of something larger but at the same time very aware of my own presence in a place. That is the goal, to capture it in a painting.” —Bronwen
