FAQs

More about original paintings and prints:

Originals

  • I use professional grade pigments with the highest lightfast ratings and paint on 100% cotton paper. Most of my paintings are done on 140#/300g cold pressed paper which has a lovely texture typical of watercolor paintings. On occasion, I will use hot pressed paper which has a smooth texture. If that is the case, it will be indicated in the listing.

  • All original paintings are unframed.

  • Original paintings are shipped flat. They are packaged in an acid free protective sleeve with an acid free backing board. The painting is padded and shipped in sturdy cardboard.

  • Paintings are shipped USPS 1st Class Mail or UPS. Please contact me if you would like to request a different shipping method. Plan for a few days to prepare your painting for shipping. Once shipped, most packages arrive within 3-5 days from time of shipping (includes tracking and insurance).

  • At this time, I am set up to ship within the United States. Please contact me if you require international shipping.

Prints and Notecards

  • Bent Creek Watercolor prints are giclee prints. They are printed with archival pigments on 100% cotton rag (285g) white paper. I choose a smooth, matte paper for prints as the texture from the original watercolors comes through beautifully. These prints are best preserved under glass and will last for decades.

  • Prints are designed with a .5-.75” white border and are titled and signed in the bottom border. Please note print size and image size in listing. They are designed to fit in a standard size frame/matting with the white border showing.

  • All prints are packaged in an acid free protective plastic sleeve.

  • Notecards are also printed with archival inks on acid free paper and are presented in an acid free protective plastic sleeve or in a box (set).

  • Prints 11x14 and smaller are mailed flat in a sturdy mailer or cardboard. Larger prints are gently rolled and mailed in a sturdy tube.

  • Shipped via USPS 1st Class or Priority mail depending on final weight.

  • As prints are printed locally and to order, please allow 5-7 days to prepare and ship your print. However, things usually move more quickly and I’ll package and ship as fast as possible!
